REVIEW - TOM FORD Shade & Illuminate

I can whole heartedly say this is a product I use ALL the time and love so much. Below is my review. *Please remember I am not sponsored and I purchased this product.....many times over!

Packaging - This palette is beautifully designed and comes in Tom Ford's signature suede pouch & gold embossed palette. It has two versatile products in the one compact.
Product - This palette comes in 2 shades, simply Shade 1 & Shade 2. Shade 1 is the lighter of the two and recommended for fairer skin tones or if you prefer a very subtle bronze/contour. I personally reach for Shade 2 a lot more. It blends out to a soft bronze or I can build it up to a more intense shade if desired. Both palettes share the same glossy Illuminator. The cream highlighter is truly gorgeous and can quite easily enable you to achieve a glossy dewy finish.
Price: Eeeek definitely not on the cheap side but please remember this is a luxury product and it is quite versatile as shown on my video.

Verdict: In true (Tom) style his Shade & Illuminate palette is just all class! I highly recommend this product for its ease of use, shades & versatility. 

Makeup fit for a Royal

I think it's only fair to dedicate my first blog post on my new website (finally!!) to the most gorgeous bride I ever did see - Megan Markle aka 'The Dutchess of Sussex.

Being an avid Suits fan I felt I knew Rachel, ah i mean Megan, quite intimately. I waited with much anticipation not only to see her gorgeous dresses but to also see what her preference was for makeup and hair. She didn't disappoint.

Aided by Danial Martin, Megan went for a refreshingly, low maintenance look, opting to naturally enhance her beauty. This I thought was a very clever and stunningly beautiful thing to do. I am a working Australian makeup & hair artist and do many weddings a year. I cringe, in fact secretly loath, receiving reference shots of overdone, caked on, severely edited images *cough Kim Kardashian *cough. Im all for looking the absolute best on your very special day but you don't have to plaster your face with makeup or do a traditional bridal hairstyle just because its your wedding. Do whatever is going to make you feel comfortable and beautiful and your confidence that comes with that will take care of the rest!
